Day Fifty-Two

One of our afternoon rituals is to get the mail. Well, Nora gets the mail, and you and I stand on the step and watch her. You like to make mommy nervous by standing too close to the edge of the stairs sometimes, but mostly, you just stand there patiently waiting for Sissy to return to the door with the mail in hand.

Day Fifty-One

This morning, Daddy took a few pictures of me in front of the window for my personal blog. You and your sister were having none of it. If mommy gets her picture taken, all of the girls shall get their pictures taken.

Your sister jumped in first with some ridiculously adorable poses, like this one.

Then you wanted your turn. Thankfully, you don't really understand "posing" yet, but you've got "being cute" down pat.

Finally, we had to get some of both of you together.

Footie PJs are my favorite. Please wear them forever.

Day Fifty!!!

Whoa, I made it 50 days-- even if I did sometimes have to post several days all at once. I'm doing this, Tilly. I'm really doing the 365 blog for you, and I hope you love it.

Today, I had a coffee date with Jessica, so after your nap, your Daddy took you and your sister to West Hills park to play and go for a walk. He made this sweet collage for me of our 2 sweet girls. You and your sister are 2 peas in a pod.

Sometimes you are peas in a pod that scream at each other and pull each other's hair, but still...

You love each other.

Day Forty-Nine

On a Saturday morning, you had first breakfast with me, and here you are having 2nd breakfast with Daddy. A little Snap Crackle Pop that you then proceeded to spill everywhere. The dogs thank you for that!

Day Forty-Eight

Friday, February 17th

Tonight Nora and I went to a school band concert. Daddy and I agreed that you probably wouldn't be much into it, so he took you to an indoor playground at the mall at the same time.

I think it's safe to say that you had a lot more fun playing than you would have in the packed auditorium listening to middle school musicians.

Days Forty-Six and Forty-Seven

Wednesday, February 15th and Thursday, February 16th

These 2 days were a bit of a blur because *someone* not naming names... ahem... it's you.... hasn't been much into sleeping.

I present to you the evidence: One of your favorites, the morning-after-I-was-up-half-the-night car nap.

Sent without comment by your Daddy. My response: "Little stinker!"

Day Forty-Five

Valentine's Day!

Something your Daddy does special for you and your sister every year is he gets you each a rose. The idea is that you will always know as your grow that there is one guy who loved you first and who loves you the most.

Look at you, loving every second of it.  I hope you felt oh so loved this Valentine's Day (and every day!) xo

Day Forty-Four

Monday, February 13th

You love to eat "sauce". When you ask for sauce you sometimes mean yogurt but usually mean applesauce.  Normally, you eat it in your high chair (which you just call "seat"), but for some reason, Daddy let you wander with your applesauce today, so I guess you thought all eating rules were no longer necessary.

Here you are digging into your applesauce with your fingers. You most definitely needed a bath after this.

Day Forty-Three

Sunday, February 12th

Just more cute bath pictures that I took to share with your Daddy when he was late from work one night and I was in charge of bath time.

Super cute bath time toddler!

Day Forty-Two

You were very attention-needy today. Several times, you grabbed me by the hand and said, "Come on, Mommy!" only to lead me somewhere to roll a ball with you or play "Ring around the Roses". Then, when we would finish whatever game you had lined up for us, you would rush back to my favorite spot on the couch and refuse to give it up. You're so silly, Tilly.

Because you were so, so, soooo clingy today, after dinner, Daddy took you and Nora downstairs to play for a while so mommy could take a little break. You played with your Lego blocks, and found a creative use for your chairs while watching Daniel Tiger.

Mommy is praying for a good night sleep and a little less clingy-ness and needy-ness tomorrow. Although I love you, and if that's what you need, you know Mommy is here for you. xo

Day Forty-One

You and your sister are such sweet snuggle bugs. The only annoying part is that you always both want to snuggle the same person at the same time and will push and fight for either my lap or your Daddy's.

A common conversation between you and your sister:

You- MY Daddy!
Sister- MY Daddy, too!!
You- MY Daddy, too!!!!!

And so on.

Here you both are vying for Daddy's attention.

You did eventually invite me into the photo love fest, by reaching for me, and saying, "Mommy, cheeese!" And so I obliged.

We're pretty cute, if I do say so myself.

Day Forty

You look like you're having a great day dream here. My deep little philosophical thinker.

But you're actually just *really* into an episode of Team Umi Zoomi haha!

Days Thirty-Eight and Thirty-Nine

So, mommy and daddy aren't perfect. Neither of us got any pictures of you yesterday. I was home with you and your sister all day because Knox County Schools is out for illness. Yep, so many people are so sick, that they have closed school for 4 days so everyone can get healthy and so that the schools can be sanitized. So far, knock on wood, our family hasn't gotten sick. Well, except for your runny nose, but that's nothing compared to what's apparently going around.

Tonight, when I was at the gym, your Daddy sent me this adorable picture of you watching something on the iPad.

Those sweet cheeks! Those adorable toes! Everything about you melts my heart.

Day Thirty-Seven

You love, love, love bath time. So many nights if we mention bed without having given you a bath, you will loudly protest.

Tonight, you didn't need to protest.

You still give the world's best stink-eye

Day Thirty-Six

Super Bowl Sunday post-nap pickle snacks for everyone!

Cutely posing for Daddy and the camera. Cheeeese!

You played with your dogs a lot today, but I couldn't quite get a picture of all 3 of you together.

Day Thirty-Five

This afternoon, we went to watch my school's boys' basketball team play in the middle school tournament.  It was your first game, and you seemed to have fun. You did a little bit of dancing and cheering, a lot of popcorn-eating, but mostly you just crawled and wiggled around in the stands.

I love the way you love each other. <3

Vine walked away with the win. 43-33 over Karns. Go Golden Bears!

The game ended as it was getting close to dinner, so Daddy suggested we go to a restaurant. We ended up at one of our favorites, Puleos.

You weren't very impressed by your chicken and mashed potatoes.

But you were really into Daddy's seafood ravioli!

Day Thirty-Four

Today started off rough for you. As we were getting ready in the morning, I heard a thud and some crying. You fell of the couch. You were fine and just needed a little TLC, but then later, Ms. Tracy sent me this picture of you.

"Till ran into the doll house. I'm gonna ice it and keep watch on it." Ms. Tracy

Then, after we all got home, you and Nora were playing on Daddy's and my bed, and you fell down again!! This is part of why why we affectionately refer to you as Tornado Tilly.

Before I got home and you fell off the bed, you and Nora had a few hours with just Daddy while I was at a school basketball game. As I was on my way home, those adorable pictures showed up on my phone.

Eating and rocking and drawing, oh my!

Day Thirty-Three

This afternoon, Daddy and I took you to a doctor's appointment. It was a follow up on your ears because you've recently had 2 ear infections back-to-back. Or maybe it was just one ear infection that didn't clear up even with the first round of antibiotics. I was nervous they were still going to be infected and that they would be recommending tubes, but thankfully, we got the "all clear"! The doctor even checked your ears to make sure that everything in there is moving around properly and that your hearing was unaffected by the infection. Again, everything looked perfect. This momma was relieved!

One thing I like about KPA is that the wait time is minimal. Rarely do we have to wait longer than 5 minutes to see the doctor.  Today, I think we might have waited more like 10 or 15, which is no big deal in the grand scheme of things, but you were wiggly.

Here you are playing while we waited to see Dr. Brice-- roaming, climbing, snuggling.
