Day One Hundred and Thirty-Three

Oh Tilly. You are a firecracker, as your aunt Laura said to me tonight. Today you decided you wanted to see what nail polish remover tasted like, which lead to my first call to Poison Control in my 6 years, 1 months, and 8 days of parenting, so far. And of course it was because of you-- it couldn't have happened any other way. Thankfully, you were fine, but I think I sprouted a few more grey hairs in the process.

Tonight we went to the Helmans' for dinner, and here you are enjoying some cobbler and ice cream.

This picture is so you in every way from the crocodile dress to the mischievous smiley eyes.

I love you and am thankful that our call to Poison Control today ended up being a non-emergency.

Day One Hundred and Thirty-Two

In your world, bedtime and books go together like peanut butter and jelly; you could have one without the other, but why would you do that when you can have both?

Tonight, you got bored with this book quickly, and then you wanted to sing and take pictures.

So we sang and took pictures.

Your bedtime favorite is Twinkle Little Star, and you sing it beautifully if I do say so myself. You also do a mean rendition of Baa Baa Black Sheep, ABCs, The Wheels on the Bus and more. You are a one-girl nursery rhyme singing adorable little monster.

Day One Hundred and Thirty-One

Daddy was working late tonight at UT graduation ceremonies. We ordered pizza and cheesy bread, and we snuggled on the couch together. At one point, you snuggled up on my shoulder so perfectly, I had to take a picture, and of course, your sister had to get in on the action.

Then you both wanted to make silly faces, so silly faces it was.

Days Eighty-Five through One Hundred and Thirty

Sweet Tilly, I am hanging my head in shame! I'm so sorry I've fallen so far behind on what is supposed to be a daily blog for you, but unlike last year, I'm not going to quit. I want you to be able to see how much you've grown this year because you're growing so much in every way. Lately, you've had a huge language explosion, and you're adding multiple new words to your vocabulary on a daily basis. You're so sweet and sassy and smart and silly.... all the best "s" words you can think of and so much more.

So, I'm going to be a cheating cheater who cheats and post a huge update here, and then I'm going to try really hard to do better.

Not much interested in watching your sister play soccer.

You had a lot of fun at a Family Literacy night at my school. Reading books, eating pizza, and discovering all kinds of cool things.

You love breakfast and Ms. Tracy's house with your friends.

Outdoor fun!

Sometimes, a girl just wears herself out and needs a high chair nap.

Little monkey climbing on boxes (and everything else).

Silly bathtub faces!

Oh my goodness, you in your footie pjs and wearing this back pack.

Sweet bedtime snuggles. Awww! We let you try to sleep with Nora, but after 2 minutes, you were both over it.

You are such a great grocery helper.

Having fun at your sister's birthday party... and stealing hotdogs afterwards.

I love this picture of you and me. And of your silly sister, too haha!

Putting swimsuit bottoms on your head is hilarious to you!

Um, apparently this highchair nap is happening lately.

On the Saturday before Easter, we dyed eggs with the Helmans. You were looking extra cute in your little Naartjie outfit. One of my favorites.

How sweet are you in your little Easter dress, hunting eggs? After you excitedly discovered all of your Easter Bunny treats, we went to church and then Bo and Lea's house for lunch and a bit more egg-hunting.

I love these pictures of you and your Daddy reading. You are such a Daddy's girl. You love your momma, but you loooove reading with your Daddy before bedtime. My heart!

You do love books. This is one of my favorite pictures ever. Nora reading to you!

Although you both went to sleep in your own beds, you both woke up in mine. Sigh. They say some day I'll miss this.

Here you are playing with Zoe. She's a sweet, gentle giant.

Sometimes I am in awe of how pretty you are. Those eyes. That dimple. Even with that snotty nose haha!

You, sis, and Daddy had an adventure up in the Sunsphere while I was at a school event. Fun!

Drawing and decorating chalk outlines was a lot of fun for you and Nora. Daddy helped, too!

And finally, my poor baby. You fell off of a small sliding board, face first into some concrete. You're brave and tough, though, so by the time you got home from Ms. Tracy's, all you wanted was a quick boo boo kiss, and you have been good to go ever since.

Wow, Tilly, how's that for almost 2 months worth of me being a slacker?
