Day Sixty-Four

Look at you trying to step into Mommy's shoes-- or as you so proudly and confidently and somewhat defiantly told me, "Tilly's shoes!"

Day Sixty-Three

We were busy busy this afternoon.

First, we went to lunch at Gondolier. You and Nora indulged in breadsticks and marinara, as usual, and you shared a small cheese pizza.

You really wanted to get out of your high chair, but you settled for hugs from the whole family. This was a very sweet moment between you and your sister, but she saw me taking a picture out of the corner of her eye, and she just can't help herself.

Then we went on the hunt for a new dishwasher because ours went kaput! First we went to Lowes and had no luck there. Then we went to Sears, and we found a pretty awesome dishwasher (so far as dishwashers go), but it took Daddy a few minutes to work out the details of the sale, and you were getting antsy in the cart, so we let you down. You and your sister had big fun playing in the living room department, and while this is cute and all, this momma was a little bit frazzled.

Finally, we stopped by Walker Springs Park so you and your sister could wear yourselves out a bit.

Hopefully all of the swinging and running and climbing will help you sleep well tonight.

Days Sixty, Sixty-One, and Sixty-Two

Oops, I did it again.

That's a really cheesy pop culture reference that probably will make no sense to you. Anyway...

Your blog got away from me for the last week or so, but in the meantime, you have found the way to my heart with a simple, "I love you, mommy" (Or as you say, "I ah you!" Close enough) followed by sweet kisses at bedtime. You started doing that this week, I'm sure as part of your master plan to get everyone in this house wrapped around your tiny fingers.

You win. Mommy is wrapped.

Day Fifty-Nine

You are really into books these days, which is awesome. Your Daddy, your sister, and I all love to read, so it's no surprise that you're headed down that path, too.  You have a couple of favorites. One of those favorites is the board book version of Go Dog Go. The original version of this is one of your Daddy's favorites, and once your attention span is just a bit better, I know he will look forward to sharing it with you.

But for now, the board book version is a huge hit.

Tonight, we went to Chilis for dinner to celebrate your sister who received an award from her teacher for good character. With it, she got a coupon for a free meal, so off we went.

Here she is, posing with her free meal-- so proud.

And here you are digging in to your not free meal.  I was proud of you because you picked out your own food from the menu: macaroni and cheese and mandarin orange slices. Apparently you were quite hungry.

While we were waiting for the food, you and your Daddy got into some of your usual antics. I love how much you adore each other.

It looks like you love him about as much as you loved those orange slices.

Today, Daddy took you and Sissy to the park to play while Mommy went to the gym to do some of my 5K training. It looks like you were a girl on a mission!
