2016: A reflection

I was talking to your Daddy about how guilty I feel that I didn't keep up with your blog the way I intended this year. He made me feel better when he told me to just remind you that you didn't sleep through the night regularly until you were 18 months old. So true, Tilly. So true. I'm going to try to let myself off the hook on this one, and I hope you will, too. I also hope you'll make sleeping through the night-- all night, every night-- your new year resolution!

When I look back on the past year, I have a lot to smile about. Watching you grow into a smart, funny, sassy, stubborn, independent, silly, loving, precious little girl has been an absolute joy. You love your mommy, daddy, sissy, and dogs. You love to eat-eat. You love Barney and Daniel Tiger ("Tigey"), your baby doll, jack-in-the-box, and books. You love to snuggle up in mommy and daddy's bed, and you give the best kisses. Your big blue eyes and endless dimple absolutely melt my heart every day. You have your whole family wrapped around your grimy little fingers, and I wouldn't want it any other way.

I can't believe how much you've grown in one short year, and I can't wait to see what the year ahead has in store for you and all of us.

Looking up to your big sister since 2015

It looks like you 2 are ready to take on the world. Watch out, 2017. Here they come!
