Day Three

Today, you went to Ms. Tracy's house after a nice long at-home vacation. When I told you that you were going, you very excitedly asked me about Amane, Ms. Sue. and Ms. Tracy, but then you didn't want to see me off like you usually do, which is with a few enthusiastic well-wishes of, "Bye Mommy!" on your way down the stairs. Instead, you made mean faces at me and then reluctantly gave me one bland "bye".

I don't know if it occurred to you that your all-day snuggle-fest with momma had ended, or if you just didn't appreciate me flashing my phone at you.

A couple of hours after you got to Ms. Tracy, I sent her a text to ask how you were doing because I missed you already. She said you were having a great morning and were excited to see everyone. She also told Daddy when he picked you up that you told her when you were ready for nap time this afternoon by saying "night night" and then heading to your nap mat without any direction from Tracy or protesting on your part.

Nora and I arrived home about an hour or so before you and Daddy did, so I hoped to get a good picture of you running to me, but once again, you seemed put out by being abandoned or annoyed at my picture-taking.

Not long after eating dinner, you asked for a bath, and then not long after getting into your PJs and snuggling with sister for a few minutes, you asked for your milk and night night with momma because tonight was my turn to put you to bed. I guess you know the routine pretty well!
